Hi all,well we had another meeting tonight but they are no fun at all now,especially as it's all over ,and it's all bill paying time!!.I am still waiting on our photographer to come up with the good's/photo's.It's not his fault it's just meeting up with him is the problem.As you can see there are some photo's up already from "friend's " of Killadoon School Reunion on face book,so enjoy!!!!

I will also add them on this site as soon as they come to hand.

Hi there,see what happen's when my computer is up and running???Well i have set up a "Facebook a/c" so all you have to do is look for "killadoonschoolreunion" and ask to be my/our friend.There are no photo's on there yet!!!!and you can see i have put our committee as the profile picture for you to enjoy.So log on and sign up I WILL EVENTUALLY get photo's on there as soon as i can get hold of them and if you have any go ahead and put them on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have added a few of my own photo's tonight and will hopefully add some more again.Hope you enjoy them!!!!The first picture is of Bernie Coyne of the Post Office .I took it by chance on the night of the book launch,she doesn't know i have added this ....as yet.I could be in trouble but i am sure you all agree she look's fantastic and after all the reunion did start with her!!! well this is it .The day has finally arrived,the book launch was FANTASTIC, really well supported .Already we have sold over 200 copies.It was gotten a great review.

Reunion Schedule

Well it's here at last,Hope you all travel safely or if you're here already Welcome Back!!!!

Here is the Agenda for your weekend,there is a list of the same in at Bernie in the Post Office,there are some at the bottom of Killeen Church and also in the Ocean Lodge.

Thursday Night 5th August.......Book Launch in the Ocean Lodge at 9 P.M.With a cheese and wine reception.The book will be on sale at €15 each.They will be on sale in all the shop's in Louisburgh,Seamus Duffy's book shop in Westport,and the Post Office from Friday Morning.

Saturday 7th August...........Mass starts at 3P.M.There will be taxi's available for you free of charge to bring you back to the Ocean Lodge.Please avail of them as parking is EXTREMELY limited back there and you may end up parking a good bit away.Why not walk to Mass,just like the good old day's????There is a wine reception awaiting you in the Ocean Lodge or tea & coffee.Your meal will be served at 6P.M.Music follow's with the famous Bumblebee.

Sunday 8th August.Following the weekly Mass at 10A.M there will be tea & scone's(all locally baked,none of that shop gear)in the Community Centre followed with a presentation to the Community Council.Then we head over to Killeen School to a tree planting ceremony.After you have had a nice rest get your dancing shoe's on again as we have a fabulous traditional evening planned for you.If you can sing or dance all the better....This start's at 7P.M.

Hello All.
O Thursday night 5th August we are having a book launch starting at 9PM.All are welcome to attend.We have not got the cost of the book just yet,but we assure everyone we will keep the cost of it as low as we can.I'll let you know as soon as possible.
On Saturday 7th of August Mass will be held at 3pm.Make sure you get there early to get a good seat.
Regarding ticket's...............they're all sold.So hoping to meet the 400 of you on the day.If you still want to attend on the night of the reunion you can do so,but there will be an entrance fee of €10.
We apologise to any of you that did not get a ticket.We did have to keep it to a limit.

On the evening of the reunion we have the man himself The Bumblebee to entertain you.Make sure you bring your dancing shoe's.Anyone for a jive???Well count me in.

There are still some ticket's available for the reunion.We want to stress this is a ticket only event and there will NOT be any ticket's on sale on the day so come on book early!!!
We apologise for not having our schudele of event's up on the blogsite as yet,we are still putting the final touches to it all and will HOPEFULLY have them for next week.

Well the book has gone off to the publisher's at last,and The Killadoon School Reunion committee thank each and everyone of you that contributed.We are hoping to hold the Book Launch on the 5th of August.
Regarding ticket's they are now on sale ,€30 per Adult and €10 for a child under 13 year's.
As we are trying to keep cost's to a minimum we will NOT post out ticket's but they will be numbered and kept safely for you.Ticket's are limited and are on sale until 1st of July.This is STRICTLY a ticket only event!!!

Meeting held tonight,the deadline for article's or picture's are almost up so any of you that have anything to contribute plese get them to A.S.A.P. THE e mail is Killadoonschoolreunion@ymail.com. It's getting there ,hopefully everybody will be able to have a good read ,so if you want to be in it come on get in touch!!

Meeting went well Wednesday night 3rd February.Though it has come up that a big whale's body was washed up along the beach,does anybody remember the year????Apparently a poem was written about it???Also the P.M.of England came to Thallabawn and again a poem or verse was written,anybody remember it???Hopefully i will have SOME of the line's shortly.Remember 1st March is our deadline so come on help us out!!!!!

We have extended our deadline for Photo's and articles for our book until 1st March!!!
Photo's old OR recent are welcome and any article ,even just a memory (even if it's only a few line's) of your day's at Killadoon Schoolwould be most welcome.
